A native of Hiroshima, CHIYOKO URABE received her pharmacist license at Kobe Pharmaceutical University, Japan. In addition to working for national hospitals, she had two sons and a daughter. She founded the Towel Magic Association to disseminate how to make Towel Magic® arts along with tips for better interpersonal communication . Based on both psychological theories and actual experiences of her own, her lectures let audiences realize and appreciate their lives through the art of Towel Magic.
Currently, she holds several Towel Magic® Art classes at NHK culture center, Culture. Co. Ltd. Chugoku Newspaper Culture center.
YOKO NELSON KOBAYASHI

Mother of a son
A native of Hiroshima, Yoko Nelson Kobayashi received her LL.B. from Waseda University in Tokyo. She has worked as a toy creator for Bandai Japan. Enrolled in the Communication graduate program of Johns Hopkins University, she focused on new media communication, intercultural communication, and inter-personal communication.
Back in Tokyo, she started teaching Towel Magic® Art Program at local community centers. Integrating her own experience with her baby boy, she has developed the Baby Towel Magic® program to support communication between parents and babies. She teaches Baby Towel Magic® (bilingual course) at Culture Co.Ltd.
